Kendall

Kendall was born to Andrew & Tabitha on October 30, 2012 at a wonderful 7lbs 4oz. Kendall had a rough start to life, spending a week in the NICU, was home for a week then readmitted overnight because her bilirubin levels spiked again.

In January 2013 at two months old, Kendall visited an Ophthalmologist to have abnormal eye movements checked out. At that time, it was determined Kendall did not have the millions of optic nerves as she should and was diagnosed with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia (ONH), a condition that causes very limited vision. Unfortunately, to date, there is no cure or treatment for ONH, and the severity of Kendall’s vision will not truly be known until she can tell us what she is seeing.

Both of Kendall's parents are in public safety, and it's very obvious she already loves the firetrucks and ambulances!! She and Mommy often visit Daddy while he is on duty and let her hear the different sirens and light patterns.
